Driving lessons in Harrow

Manual and automatic lessons, intensive courses and mock tests in Harrow — led by a former DVSA driving examiner.

Harrow covers three outcodes — HA1, HA2 and HA3 — and takes in South Harrow, Harrow on the Hill and the approach up to Kenton. The office is on Uxbridge Road in Pinner, a few minutes north west.

The hill is the distinguishing feature and the reason Harrow pupils tend to be good at hill starts long before anything else. Between the gradients around the school and the one-way system in the town centre, clutch control on a manual gets sorted early here; automatic pupils get the same benefit on the roundabouts instead.

Common test fault

Move off · Control

Hill work is where Harrow pupils are strongest and where nerves show first. The marks I saw were on moving off at an angle on the residential gradients — handbrake released a beat too early, then a roll back. It is a control fault that only appears under test pressure.

  • “I completed a 30 hour intensive course with Asif, and it was a great experience. He is easy going, funny, knowledgeable, and an excellent teacher. I fully recomended.”

    Cristopher · with Asif

  • “He explained everything so clearly and always made me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. I've now passed my test and I genuinely couldn't have done it without his help, he always took the time to explain what I was doing wrong and how I could improve.”

    Hanna K. · with Shazad

  • “I started with zero knowledge and was quite nervous on my first lesson, so I'm really happy with how far I've come. He explains things clearly and gives practical advice that actually helps you understand how to drive properly, rather than just teaching you how to pass the test.”

Answers

Driving lessons in Harrow

  • Where would I take my driving test if I live in Harrow?

Harrow pupils usually sit at Uxbridge. Your instructor teaches the routes from the centre you are actually booked at rather than a generic set, so tell us which one when you build your plan.

  • Do you teach manual and automatic in Harrow?

We teach both — 3 manual and 2 automatic across Harrow. Automatic slots book out faster than manual almost everywhere, so ask early if that is what you need.

  • How many hours will I need?

This will depend on your driving experience and driving standard. We always recommend booking a 2 hour assessment so we can support you better. Most international drivers typically take between 7 and 20 hours. This is an average, not a quote- the two hour assessment is how we get closer to a real estimated number.

  • Do you pick up from Harrow?

Yes. Lessons start at your address, and the nearest office is Greenford — about 2.1 miles away — so nobody is driving across London to reach a first lesson.
